Bio | Saelyx Finna (formerly known as Courtney Sheehan), principal and founder of Context Moves, brings over a decade of experience working as a distribution strategist, business consultant, nonprofit CEO, film programmer, impact producer, researcher, writer, and festival organizer. Context Moves provides services to filmmakers and businesses in film distribution, partnerships, and impact campaigns. As a business strategist, Saelyx has worked with Sundance, AMC, the Criterion Collection, Film Independent, Cinereach, and Art House Convergence. She is honored to serve on the Advisory Committee for NYCWF.Previously, Saelyx was the artistic and executive director for Northwest Film Forum (NWFF), the most comprehensive nonprofit film center and art house theater in the Pacific Northwest. While at the Forum, Courtney was named one of the “50 Most Influential Women in Seattle” and recognized by the City of Seattle with the Mayor’s Award for Arts & Innovation. Prior to joining NWFF, on a grant-funded year of international research, Saelyx worked with twenty film festivals on three continents. As a content creator, Saelyx produces creative media projects about the emergence of dream tech: technology that interfaces directly with the dreaming mind. |
