Bio | Diana Foronda is an award-winning filmmaker based on Long Island, NY. Throughout her years in the film industry, she worked as a Set PA for several short films, web series, and TV networks, including CBS, HGTV, and CNBC. Diana’s films and scripts have been recognized worldwide (including academy-award qualifying) and won 10+ awards. Her award-winning horror/sci-fi short screenplay, CandyByte, about a haunted apple-shaped smart home device, is available on Amazon, Barnes&Noble, and Bookshop.org. Outside of filmmaking, Diana has worked at a few film/photography companies, such as USDAN Summer Camp for the Arts, Left/Right Productions, Stag Post Services Inc, BDG, and Imagine Entertainment. Currently, she’s working as a production coordinator & partnerships at Chelsea Film Festival, editing Instagram reels/virtual workshop events at Pano (formerly NYCWF), writing her upcoming screenplay projects, and creating her Pleasantville-inspired iPhone short film, Normal Times. Additionally, she has been a pre-screener for Revolution Me Film Festival, Oxford Film Festival, San Diego International Film Festival (Canadian Screen Award Qualifying), Nashville Film Festival (Academy-Qualifying), Austin Film Festival (Academy-Qualifying), and Portland Film Festival. She is a proud New Yorker and member of Pano (formerly NYCWF), ARRAY Crew, Post New York Alliance, Alliance for Women in Media, and NYWIFT. She has trained with Sundance Co//ab, NYU Tisch Film & TV Industry Essentials, Manhattan Edit Workshop, USDAN Summer Camp for the Arts, and holds a BA in Film Studies with Departmental Honors at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. |
