Bio

Diana Foronda is an award-winning filmmaker based on Long Island, NY. Throughout her years working in the film industry, she worked as a Set PA for a number of short films, web series, and TV networks including CBS, HGTV, and CNBC. Diana’s films have screened at 10+ festivals and her scripts have been placed in various screenwriting competitions such as Grove Film Festival, Academy-Qualifying Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival, Canadian Screen Awards Qualifying WorldFest-Houston, The International Horror Hotel, Academy-Qualifying Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting Competition, Academy-Qualifying HollyShorts Screenplay Competition, and much more. Her award-winning horror short screenplay, CandyByte, about a haunted apple-shaped smart home device is available on Amazon and Barnes&Noble.

Outside of filmmaking, Diana has worked at a few photography and post-production companies such as USDAN Summer Camp for the Arts, Left/Right Productions, and Stag Post Services Inc. Currently, she’s interning at Imagine Entertainment for an upcoming sports documentary, editing virtual workshop videos for Pano (formerly NYCWF), working on her upcoming screenplay projects, and editing her Pleasantville-inspired iPhone short film, Normal Times. She has been a pre-screener for Revolution Me Film Festival, Oxford Film Festival, San Diego International Film Festival (Canadian Screen Award Qualifying), ​Nashville Film Festival (Academy-Qualifying)Austin Film Festival (Academy-Qualifying), and Portland Film Festival.

She is a proud New Yorker and member of Pano (formerly NYCWF)ARRAY CrewPost New York Alliance, and NYWIFT. She has trained with NYU Tisch Film & TV Industry Essentials, Manhattan Edit Workshop, USDAN Summer Camp for the Arts, and holds a BA in Film Studies with Departmental Honors at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.
