Bennett is an Academy recognized screenwriter and award winning director whose most recent short film LVRS screened such festivals as Sitges, The Brooklyn Horror Film Festival and won her best director at The Horrible Imaginings Film Festival. Bennett’s feature screenplay ACHE recently placed quarter finalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship (2020).
Bennett’s horror screenplay SHE CAME BACK was recently acquired by Witchcraft Motion Picture Company and will be directed by Bennett herself with producers Rod Blackhurst (HERE ALONE, AMANDA KNOX) and Noah Lang (THE CLIMB, THE STRANGE ONES).
During the 2020 pandemic, Bennett co-directed her debut feature film ALONE WITH YOU with filmmaking partner Justin Brooks (Vice, A&E) alongside Andrew Corkin’s and Hollywood actor Theo James’ Untapped Productions (MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE, WE ARE WHAT WE ARE, THE BEACH HOUSE). The film stars horror veteran Barbara Crampton, Emma Myles (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK), Dora Madison (BLISS, VFW), and Bennett herself.
Bennett also produced the 2021 Clio Awards, an entirely virtual festival celebrating the ad industry’s most innovative and groundbreaking voices. Partnering with Verizon and Burger King, Bennett oversaw the entire awards show from start to finish, working with companies such as ArtClass, Butter Works, Greencard, Ghost+Cow and Hungryman to deliver an innovative show that celebrated diversity, equality and progress in the commercial space. Bennett also ran a remote soundstage shoot with celebrity host Andrea Savage and served as the production’s key producer.
As a producer, Bennett’s commercial and digital content collaborators also include Amazon Fire, Microsoft, CBSi, The Player’s Tribune and Adorama.
Bennett is repped as a writer by manager Adréana Robbins (Bohemia Group) and entertainment lawyer Marc Von Arx (Nelson Davis).
She is currently seeking representation as a narrative and commercial director.
